A Review of the NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint

A friend of mine picked up NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint for herself and when I saw pics of her, I couldn't help admiring how her eyes were POPPIN when she was wearing them. OF COURSE, I had to try them for myself and share my thoughts with the internet at large. I picked up two shades: New Romance and Rose Pearl.

NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint Description

The Lid Lingerie Eye Tints are part of NYX's Lingerie line. Currently, there is a wide range (24 shades) of liquid lipsticks in the browns and rusty red family. There is also a Lid Lingerie eyeshadow palette. And then there are the Lid Lingerie Eye Tints. The Lid Lingerie Eye Tints come in two types: Shimmer and Matte. I've been on a shimmery glittery eyeshadow kick for the past year so when I saw shimmery liquid eyeshadows, I went and picked up two. The mattes I will test out at a later date.I got the shade New Romance which is a copper shimmer and Rose Pearl which is a nude pink shimmer.

NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint Pros

I love the finish of this liquid eyeshadow. It is PERFECT for when you want an eye look to POP.I also particularly enjoy that it dries pretty quickly. It doesn't smudge when you apply it which is really great!Another great asset of this liquid eyeshadow is that it doesn't feel like it's there at all. It doesn't feel thick. It doesn't feel like you've slathered Vaseline onto your eyes. It provides great shimmer and feels weightless.I got two shades to try out: New Romance (top) and Rose Pearl (bottom). I love New Romance as a lid color. I love copper shimmers as an eyeshadow in general as it really compliments my skin tone. The color just looks so rich against my skin that I gravitate to chrome liquid shadows a lot. Rose Pearl is also a really pretty baby pink shimmer that I've been using for the inner corner and as a highlight. GUYS, this product is so shimmery that it's AMAZING as a liquid highlighter. Who says that makeup items can't be versatile, right?

NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint Cons

While I did, enjoy this product, I did find a few drawbacks.I gotta tell you, I put this through the eight-hour day test and it creases. Worn alone on unprimed lids, this product will crease. A quick fix for this is using an eyeshadow primer. When I popped on some eyeshadow primer, I observed little to no creasing by the end of the day. Of course, for this kind of longevity, you'd have to PURCHASE an eye primer which is minus points if you're a makeup minimalist.Another complaint I have is that this tube looks EXACTLY THE SAME as the NYX Lip Lingerie liquid lipsticks. AND I MEAN exactly the same. The tube is the same height, same weight, the fonts look the same, the applicator is the same, and the colors are so close visually that I almost put the eye tints on my lips once. I've had to put the eye tints in a different part of my makeup stand just so that I wouldn't mistake it for lipstick. It's a small complaint but sometimes, this kind of user-friendliness (I guess that's what you call it) can take a product from good to great.

NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint Final Recommendation

Do I recommend the Lid Lingerie Eye Tint? YES. It's not the Moonshot Jellypot Eyeshadows which I hold to be my own personal golden standard when it comes to cream/liquid eyeshadows. Seriously, that one? Doesn't budge AT ALL and has a great color payoff. But that being said, I did THOROUGHLY enjoy the NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints. The shimmer is amazing and, as you can see, when it catches the light, it's basically glowing. It's lightweight and, let's be real, it's so cheap and for that price, IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT. Remember that you have to do some eyelid prep work before you use it if you want some longevity but other than that, I think it's great! I think I might pick up more, actually.

Hope this was helpful to you peeps. If you do pick up the NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints, I hope you THOROUGHLY enjoy it and use it to go forth and conquer.
